ADULT SESSIONS

We have a wide rage of adult karting events to take part in and compete here at Carew Karting. From individual arrive and drive to testing your skills in F1 and Grand Prix style events, we have it all ready and waiting for you.

All our sessions begin with a full safety briefing before you get out onto the circuit. We offer some extra hints and tips from our experienced staff, then you get to step into your individual kart to get to grips with the circuit. These sessions are adrenaline fuelled for you to try and beat your personal best lap time, or simply getting some laps under your belt to improve your skills. We provide overalls and helmets free of charge. Gloves and balaclavas are available to purchase for a small charge and are yours to keep and bring back on return visits OR if you have your own then please bring them along if they’re up to standards

SUPER GP EVENT

Grand Prix racing is one of the most exciting forms of Motorsport. Imagine racing wheel to wheel with your friends or colleagues, sat only inches off the ground in our 390cc Thunder karts – this is the closest thing you’ll get to racing without a licence.

Our Super Grand Prix event is designed for both large and small groups. A minimum of 6 drivers are required for this event.

9 minute Qualifying

Get to grips with the track and set your fastest time for your grid position

30 Lap race

Starting position on the grid will determine where you qualified, you set the quickest lap time and you’re on POLE

Trophies for groups of 8 or more

No trophies for groups smaller than 8 drivers

Minimum of 6 drivers

F1 GRAND PRIX

The very popular F1 style race is perfect for avid racers or novices who want the thrill of qualifying, racing and winning.

Once we’ve got you signed in for your event, you’ll all have a safety briefing and your given a chance to ask any pre qualifying questions. You’ll all then head out onto the circuit for a fast paced qualifying session. All drivers will then be positioned on the grid according to their lap times, with the quickest being on pole position.

You’ll all then compete in a race, followed by the customary podium ceremony. After the race, you’ll be given a printout of your fastest lap time with statistics accurate to 1000th of a second. For regular karters, try and beat your personal best lap times.

F1 Grand Prix consists of

7 minute qualifying
24 Lap race
Trophies for groups of 8 or more drivers
Minimum of 6 drivers aged 16yrs + ( minimum of 10 drivers during peak times Easter and summer holidays )

ENDURANCE EVENT

For this event you pay per kart and not for each person competing. As a part of the racing excitement, teams plan their own pit-stops (driver changes and fuel stops) with fuelling performed by the racing mechanics. Good racing strategy will impact your finishing position as these races are very close.

Throughout the race, you will have access to a monitor showing you each kart’s position, number of laps completed, current lap time, and best lap times. This will allow you and your drivers to monitor the progress of your team and compare lap times, among yourselves and the competition.

Great for drivers looking for a strategy challenge as well as skilled driving. Perfect for small groups looking for a more challenging event or for large groups looking to have an exciting racing experience as teams against each other, a great corporate event !

RACE OF CHAMPIONS

Another great race event suitable for 10-40 drivers with even more track time, extended heats, Semifinals and an 18 Lap grand final should be more than enough karting time to determine the outright winner of your event!

IRONMAN

This is a test of any drivers endurance with a 9 minute qualifying session followed by a 40 lap race to the finishing line. No driver changes, no team strategy, just you and your kart pushing until the end.

To end the event, you’ll have the customary podium ceremony with trophies for the top three drivers
